Portraits are supposed to be fun – let me show you.
A Nectar Photography session begins with imagination and ends with your happily ever after.
We work together – in your favorite haunts, in your favorite clothes, with your favorite people – to find and photograph the real you. I bring my photojournalistic instinct to capture your true essence. Don’t worry about blinking or smiling the ‘wrong’ smile. When you are relaxed and feeling like yourself, you are beautiful. It’s tried and true. And that’s where the fun begins.
Our Sweet Moments sessions are designed to help you hold on to the everyday magic. Whether you want to freeze a day with your children or the times when you feel fabulous doing your thing, we do that, one image at a time. Your memories become art to share and cherish.
Our Sweet Escapes sessions allow you to release your imagination and fulfill your dreams. If you are young or young at heart, we go back to your favorite stories and cast you as the hero. Kids know it best, after all. Play brings out our best selves. We create portraits worthy of your favorite childhood picture books. Before the camera comes out, we’ll chat to discover your heart’s desire. The portrait session is all about you. We’re dreaming up images that tell your story to the world. We can create your stunning images at my studio, with its treasure trove of costumes and props designed to bring out the kid in you, or we can go to the places that make you feel alive.

OUR SESSION
This is your time so please feel free bring along whatever inspires you – music, accessories, props. We can always look through the tickle trunk at the studio to see if there is something that brings out your sense of play.
As for what to wear, put on something that makes you feel like dancing, like smiling, like being yourself on your best day. Bring a couple outfits and it’s handy to have your toiletry bag to freshen up. For maternity sessions, please wear loose fitting clothing so your skin will be glowing for those tummy close ups.
It’s helpful to arrive 15 minutes before our session to allow yourself the time to breathe and make those last minute adjustments so you look and feel your best.
Remember, by the time of our session, we will have already chatted about how what you want from these images. You are in good hands. Relax.
We ask our clients to sign a [model release] to allow Nectar Photography the opportunity to share its work with the public. You’ll have bragging rights if your photograph is featured on our website or advertising in future. It's online if you would like to take some to review it and ask questions.

You may choose to select your images directly from our online gallery (which you may invite others to
view also – or come back to the studio for private viewing and consultation).
YOU AS ART
Your final selection of images – professionally retouched – will have the quality of gallery art. Please refer to our investment section to see the many different options available for you to proudly display the beauty of your images. Gallery wrapped canvas installations, framed masterpieces, storyboards, coffee table books, traditional albums, holiday cards and birth announcements – the choice is yours.
